Social Justice and Outreach

North Church participates in and supports a variety of missions that assist people in our congregation, in our local neighborhoods, throughout Central Ohio and in the global community.  A sample:

B.R.E.A.D. (Building Responsibility, Equality and Dignity) is a multi-denominational social justice organization of and for Central Ohio.  B.R.E.A.D. includes over 50 churches and synagogues of various denominations.  North Church is proud to be a founding congregation of B.R.E.A.D.

YWCA Family Center provides shelter and meals to homeless families in the community.

Southside Community Ministries food pantry at St. Paul UCC.

Project Chacocente is our partner organization in Nicaragua.  Chacocente facilitates housing and work training for families, and provides schooling for the local area.

CROP Walk supports hunger programs in our community and abroad.

Our Church's Wider Mission

Just North participates annually in UCC denominational giving events, like Our Church’s Wider Mission, and special mission offerings like One Great Hour of Sharing, and Neighbors in Need.

There are many other opportunities to teach, share, support, guide, direct and pray at Just North.
